Meet Zac
Hi, I’m Zac.
I’m a Maine-based landscape photographer with a deep connection to the state’s quieter moments. I spent many years living on Mount Desert Island, where the coastline, shifting weather, and changing light really shaped how I see and photograph the landscape. I now live in the greater Portland area, but I’m constantly traveling throughout Maine capturing photos.
I’m drawn to subtle details, reflections on water, soft light, and scenes that feel calm and unhurried. My goal is to capture Maine not just as a place, but as an experience, timeless, grounded, and quietly powerful.
Driven by passion
My work is rooted in a lifelong love for the outdoors. Long before photography, I spent much of my time in gardens—working in and around some of the well-known gardens on Mount Desert Island. Being immersed in those spaces taught me to slow down, pay attention, and appreciate how light, texture, and seasons quietly shape the landscape.
That same mindset guides my photography today. Whether I’m photographing water, shoreline, or forest, I’m drawn to natural spaces that feel calm, intentional, and alive. The places that invite reflection and a deeper connection to the land.
